As autumn and winter arrive, they bring a chill and a craving for comforting treats. Today we’re sharing a sweet, soothing drink: a turmeric latte with honey. Almost like dessert, perfect to enjoy solo or to share.
A traditional turmeric latte, also known as golden milk, contains no coffee at all. It is a caffeine-free drink made from milk, turmeric, and other spices.
In this version, we combine the rich taste of espresso with the health benefits of turmeric and honey, creating a coffee-based turmeric latte. It is both energising and comforting.
What Is A Latte?
Made with espresso, steamed milk, and milk foam, the latte is a great option when you’re looking to change up your usual coffee routine. Enjoyed all year round, it can even be served iced. Its name, which means “milk” in Italian, reflects its composition, as it contains a much higher ratio of milk to coffee. A latte is ideal for those who aren’t keen on the bitterness of a strong brew.
What does turmeric latte taste like?
A turmeric latte has a warm, comforting flavour with earthy and slightly bitter notes from the turmeric, balanced by the sweetness of honey and the creaminess of milk.
When made with coffee, like in our recipe, the richness of espresso adds depth and a subtle kick, creating a layered drink that’s both spiced and smooth.
If you’re new to turmeric, you might find the flavour unique at first but paired with the right ingredients, it becomes a truly indulgent and cosy beverage.

MaxiCoffee tips for more indulgence
For a more indulgent turmeric milk, choose a medium or dark roast coffee with nutty or chocolatey notes. These flavours pair beautifully with the sweetness of honey and the warm spice of turmeric.
Is Turmeric Latte Good For You? What Are The Benefits?
Turmeric latte can be a healthy addition to your routine! Turmeric contains curcumin, a compound known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Combined with milk and honey, it creates a comforting drink that’s not only tasty but also soothing for digestion and the immune system.
Just be sure to enjoy it as part of a balanced diet, and remember that curcumin absorption is improved with a bit of fat or black pepper, which can be added to your recipe if desired!
